In my opinion one of the key aspects of living a fulfilling life is good health. To be able to keep up with the grand kids at 70 and live well into your 80’s or even 90’s would be an absolute blessing I think many people dream of. I find the health issues emerging now disturbing. I do think it is good start that there seems to be culture growing in the world of social media dedicated to healthy living. Sadly, I think the vast majority of these groups are far off the mark when it comes to defining what healthy means, feeding the misconception that you can make an assessment of someone’s health or fitness at a glance.

People still fail to recognise that like being unhealthy at any weight it is possible to be healthy at most weights. I remember being home from school sick a few years ago and watching an episode of Kerry Anne – There was an interview with a woman who had run a lot of marathons and was quite successful in them. She ate healthily and was incredibly fit. This woman was a Size 14. She was talking about how she has people that know nothing about her make comments about what she eats when she’s out.
